Webco’s LaserLine SD^® seam-welded super duplex umbilical coiled tubing is manufactured in North America to serve the Steel Tube Umbilical (STU) industry and is used to construct subsea umbilicals. Our high-strength LaserLine SD® tubing meets stringent manufacturing, inspection, and testing requirements based on customer specifications.

Webco’s umbilical tube can be produced in:

• Most common ID bore sizes (12.7, 19.05, and 25.4 millimeters)
• Common DWP ratings (5 ksi, 10 ksi, and 15 ksi)
• Other sizes upon request

Capabilities and processes include:

• Project-specific Production, Inspection & Testing Plans (PITP) to meet customer requirements and comply with API 17E and ISO 13628-5
• WPS and PQR practices bias strip, longitudinal, and tube-to-tube orbital welding methods in tube construction
• Digital radiography of all transverse welds in the final tube
• State-of-the-art eddy current and ultrasonic testing for full body continuous flaw and sigma phase detection and wall thickness verification
• Qualification, in-process and final testing, and in-process and FAT hydro-testing capability up to 40 ksi (207 MPa) at an in-house metallurgical laboratory
• Coil lengths provided on customer-supplied metal reels up to 20 tons or 100,000 feet (30,000 meters)
• Complete genealogical documentation, material test reports, and data books per order and reel
